On June 3, 2017 the Folly Beach Anglers hosted the 9th annual Jerry Pierce Memorial Tournament. The Folly Beach Anglers greatly appreciate the many supportors and contributors for 2017. Over 304 kids, 57 volunteers, and parents made up the 747 that attended the tournament. A tremendous number of great prizes were awarded and everyone was a winner. On June 6, 2015 the Folly Beach Anglers hosted the 7th annual Jerry Pierce Memorial Tournament (formerly called the "Take a Kid Fishing Day"). Over 242 kids, 221 parents, and 51 volunteers attended the tournament Such great attendance now makes our tournament the largest saltwater kids fishing event in South Carolina. The weather was very nice, the fishing fairly slow, but the kids didn't care and had a lot of fun. A tremendous number of great prizes were awarded and everyone was a winner. On June 21, 2014 the Folly Beach Anglers hosted the 6th annual "Take a Kid Fishing Day". There were 220 kids, over 175 adults accompanying them, and over 50 volunteers, making up more than 445 attendees at the tournament. Such great attendance now makes our tournament the largest saltwater kids fishing event in South Carolina. The weather was hot, the fishing fairly slow, but the kids didn't care and had a lot of fun. On June 15th, 2013 the Folly Beach Anglers hosted the 5th annual "Take a Kid Fishing Day". There were 197 kids, over 75 adults accompanying them, and 35 volunteers, for a total of over 307 attendees for the tournament. Those numbers make it the largest tournament in the history of the pier. The weather was great and the kids caught more fish and larger fish that any tournament so far. On June 9th, 2012 the Folly Beach Anglers hosted the 4th annual "Take a Kid Fishing Day". There were over 138 kids registered. Most caught fish and everyone was a winner. A special thanks to Daniel Culpepper and all the volunteers.

June 4th, 2011 was a great day fishing on Folly Pier where 106 kids under the age 16 competed for the title of best angler at the Folly Beach Pier, Folly Beach, SC.
